Complete these steps to install and activate Suma. This assumes you have confirmed that Suma’s operational pre-requisites are satisfied.
Step 1. Download Suma. Choose the version of Suma that matches your runtime environment:
» Suma for IonCube platform
» Suma for PHPExpress platform
Step 2. Upload into Wordpress. The easiest way to do this is from the Wordpress Control Panel -> Plugins -> Add New area. See below.
This will upload Suma to your webserver and install the plugin. You may be asked for the login credentials for an FTP account on your webserver in order to complete this step. Alternatively, if you wish to manually upload the ZIP archive then place it in a directory named suma under the plugins directory within the wp-content directory of your Wordpress installation.
Step 3. Active the Suma plugin. Click on the Activate link for Suma in the Plugins listing page or accept Wordpress’ offer to activate the plugin once the installer has installed it.
Step 4. Check the status of the activation. Before proceeding its worth checking that the activation step didn’t encounter any errors. During activation Suma will look at your environment to ensure its one which will support its operations. Suma reports on this testing in its Admin Event Log which is located in Wordpress’ Control Panel. Go to the Wordpress Dashboard -> Suma area.
Check the log to make sure there are no errors that arose while being activated. You can also click the Run Diagnostics button at any time to have Suma perform a diagnostic check of core parts of the plugin to determine its overall state.
This is a very useful place to gather information related to Suma’s operations. In this case no errors were encountered with the activation. However, Suma is warning about the fact that there are no Subscriptions defined. This will be examined in the next section.
